Responsibilities:
Coffee Roasting: Execute precise and consistent roasting processes to bring out the best flavors and qualities in our coffees.
Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the roasting process.
Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels effectively to meet production demands while minimizing waste.
Dispatch Coordination: Coordinate the dispatch of coffee orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery to wholesale and retail customers.
Environmental Sustainability: Contribute to our ongoing efforts to reduce environmental impact, particularly in coffee packaging and waste management.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our sourcing team to select and procure exceptional coffees that align with our sustainability goals.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and techniques to continually improve roasting processes, product quality, and dispatch operations.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in coffee roasting and dispatch, with a strong understanding of roasting principles and logistics.
Passion: A genuine passion for coffee, sustainability, and supporting coffee farmers.
Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards in both roasting and dispatch processes.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands, operational needs, and dispatch schedules.
Certifications: Preferred certifications in coffee roasting or related fields (e.g., Q Grader, Roaster Masterclass) and logistics or dispatch coordination.
