This role as the Engineering Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hospital's engineering department. This position involves overseeing a wide range of engineering activities, including maintenance, repairs, renovations, and compliance with regulatory standards, as well as providing resources to support capital project programs.
The Operations Manager will lead a team of engineers, trades and technicians, ensuring that all tasks are completed effectively and in a timely manner to support the hospital's mission of providing high-quality healthcare services
You will be welcomed in dynamic team and be given an opportunity to showcase your skills. This position is a Full Time Ongoing position.
About you
This exciting position will require a formal qualification Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering management or related leadership role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, with knowledge of healthcare facility requirements and regulations.
Proven track record of successful team leadership, project management, and budgetary oversight.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, and standards governing healthcare facility engineering and safety
Current driver's license valid for Australia
