With over 25 years of combined experience in the disability sector in Australia, LME Care is committed to delivering high-quality services with purpose, courage, and integrity.

As a Day Program Facilitator - Visual Art Teacher, you will have the opportunity to utilize your artistic skills and passion for visual art to support individuals with disabilities in exploring their creativity and enhancing their overall wellbeing.
You will play a crucial role in facilitating art workshops and guiding participants through various art techniques and projects.

Responsibilities
 •  Facilitate visual art workshops for individuals with disabilities
 •  Plan and prepare engaging and interactive art lessons
 •  Teach participants various art techniques and help them create their own artworks
 •  Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of participants
 •  Provide guidance and support to participants in developing their artistic skills and creativity
 •  Ensure a safe and inclusive environment during art sessions
 •  Monitor and document participant progress and achievements
 •  Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to create a holistic program
 •  Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
 •  Attend training and professional development sessions as required

Requirements
 •  Experience or qualification in visual arts or a related field
 •  Previous experience in facilitating workshops or teaching visual art preferred
 •  Passion for working with individuals with disabilities and promoting their creative expression
 •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 •  Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate individual learning styles
 •  Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
 •  Understanding of disability support principles and practices
 •  Current first aid and CPR certification
 •  Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
 •  Availability to work during daytime hours
