About the role

We are currently recruiting for a HR Officer to join our Operations team in Devonport that provides support to the business relating to Human Resources systems, policies, and procedures across the areas of employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities
 •  Co-ordinating the on boarding of new starters and transfer of current employees within the business including facilitation of pre-employment checks, contract of employment, and inductions.
 •  Elevate operational excellence through administration, document management, employee file maintenance, and reporting functions.
 •  Provide first level People and Culture policy advice and interpretation to employees.
 •  Assisting with offboarding and termination processes.
 •  Act as first level support for all People and Culture related systems enquiries.
 •  Ad hoc P&C administration duties as required.
 •  Create standard operating procedures.
 •  Document key processes and create data and analytics information packs.

Requirements

About you
 •  At least 2 years' experience in a HR Coordination position ideally.
 •  Qualification related to HR or working towards one is desirable but not mandatory
 •  Excellent organisational skills and be motivated to plan and meet agreed priorities and deadlines.
 •  Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in documents/ systems.
 •  A customer focused attitude with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
 •  Self-organised and motivated to complete work to deadlines.
