Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic finance department, where you will have the chance to manage payroll, superannuation payments, and insurance functions.

 •  Manage end-to-end payroll and superannuation payments
 •  Coordinate the company's Insurance function
 •  Assist in managing the company's IT&T function

What you'll do:

As a Finance Officer, your primary responsibility will be to process payroll, superannuation payments, and all associated reporting independently and accurately. You will support the finance team to deliver day-to-day financial operations efficiently and effectively.
Additionally, you will coordinate the company's Insurance function and liaise with Local Government Risk Services. Your role will also involve assisting the Business Excellence Manager and Chief Financial Officer to manage the company's IT&T function.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards.

 •  Process end-to-end payroll accurately and timely for all staff
 •  Maintain accuracy and integrity of payroll data in business systems
 •  Coordinate insurance tasks including claim lodgment and management
 •  Liaise with Local Government Risk Services to resolve insurance related issues
 •  Assist the Business Excellence Manager and Chief Financial Officer to resolve and escalate issues relating to IT&T systems
 •  Ensure the accuracy and integrity of business data across multiple business systems in a timely manner

The ideal candidate for this Finance Officer position brings a wealth of experience in similar roles. You have proven experience in processing payroll for large teams and are familiar with GST legislation and processes. Your high level of numeracy and accuracy is matched by your meticulous attention to detail.

 •  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
 •  Experience in processing payroll and associated functions for 40+ staff
 •  General knowledge of GST legislation and processes
 •  High level of numeracy and accuracy, with attention to detail
 •  Ability to work independently within an office environment
 •  Effective verbal and written communication skills
