About the Role (your why)

As Manager – Risk & Resilience, you’ll be responsible for components of the risk program implementation and ongoing administration of Datacom’s Risk, Continuity, and Compliance practices, to our Federal Government customer base, aligned to ISO 31000 standards.

Due to customer requirements, you must be an Australian Citizen to be successful in your application; and you will ideally hold an active Government Security Baseline Clearance (or be eligible to achieve a Baseline Clearance).

This role can be Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne based. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!

What you’ll do

As Manager – Risk & Resilience, you will cover:

 •  Assisting the business to embed Risk Management into decision-making activities
 •  Implementation and management of the risk management framework, including supporting the business with procedures for identifying, assessing, and managing risks
 •  Embedding a risk aware culture and supporting collaboration to manage shared risks
 •  Regularly reviewing the Risk Management approach
 •  Driving accountability and ownership – by providing guidance to staff on their specific risk management responsibilities
 •  Business Continuity Management oversight, including business impact assessment and business continuity planning and testing
 •  Governance of the risk management framework and its implementation
 •  Building an assurance plan to:

o Implement appropriate controls and oversight of the business’ risk management activities

o Ensure Risk Management alignment to policies and the execution of all relevant plans and actions

o Review and auditing controls to ensure business process, contractual, and legislative compliance
 •  Delivering reports to leadership and our customers regarding risk and resilience.

You’ll maintain a detailed understanding and contribute to improvement of the relevant frameworks, processes/ procedures and artefacts across the business, while working in an advisory capacity and assisting in customer discussions regarding our plans as required.

What you’ll bring

You’ll bring a wealth of Risk Management experience and an understanding of ISO 31000 standards and applicability, ideally within an IT managed services environment or with federal government customers. You’ll be passionate about risk management and advisory, be comfortable working on complex issues and managing a diverse stakeholder group.
You will have experience administering risk management and advisory processes; along with developing, implementing, and administering Business Continuity Management processes. Ideally you will have an RMIA certification, or something similar.
