The Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) is a statutory body that plays a critical role in both reviewing and improving the systems that protect and safeguard children. Established by the Family and Child Commission Act 2014, the act states that their responsibilities lie in three key areas: promoting the safety, well-being, and best interests of children and young people, advocating for the responsibility of families and communities to protect and care for children and young people, and finally to improve the child protection system.
