About You

To be successful, you will have qualifications in Tourism and/or Management in a related field. You also will have previous experience in managing a high performing team. Ideally, you will also have strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Additionally, have an excellent knowledge of business products and value proposition.

You possess a growth-mindset and high energy that drives you to constantly strive for improvement.

Additionally, you lead with both the head and heart, and know how to have some fun along the way.

About The Role

The Group Manager, National Sales is responsible for leading the National Sales team to increase revenue, trade relationships and brand awareness of all Journey Beyond’s assets within the Australian domestic market.

This position will also be a key driver of overall business growth through campaigns and activities, in alignment with the strategic plan. You will be responsible for analysing market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and growth development.
Additionally, lead, mentor and drive the team to ensure employee engagement.

Key responsibilities will include:

 •  Provide support to Executive General Manager National Sales and Partnership.
 •  Develop growth strategies and plans with National Sales team.
 •  Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiative.
 •  Creation and management of cooperative marketing campaigns with key trade partners, alongside the Trade Marketing Manager to enhance brand visibility and drive sales of all brands.
 •  Understand Australian travel industry trends.
 •  Writing business proposals and project briefs to continuously improve Sales optimisation and opportunities.
 •  Respond to market factors by devising and executing tactical campaigns to drive demand in periods of need.
 •  Create and manage annual sales budgets, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
 •  Represent Journey Beyond and host key partners at conferences and Events.

This is a national role based in our Adelaide North Terrace office; domestic travel is required as you will be required to work with teams and stakeholders in multiple locations. You must have the flexibility to travel as required.
