The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists for a driven individual to join our Merchandise team based in Brisbane. Working within the Lighting Category team, you will be responsible for sourcing and developing a range of products that satisfies the needs of our customers, is market relevant, and contributes to the ongoing success of the business.
Ideally, you will have a trade qualification or extensive experience within the automotive industry, and are looking for an opportunity to further your career away from the tools.
Responsibilities:
• Determining customer requirements and identifying opportunities for improvement within our current product offering
• Working with suppliers to develop new products and negotiate improvements to key business metrics
• Managing the product lifecycle from inception through to end of life including the implementation of effective stock clearance strategies
• Working collaboratively with other departments and engaging stakeholders to ensure new products are delivered efficiently and effectively
• Conducting product tests, producing training material, and providing ongoing technical support to the store network and customer base
• Analysing data and reporting on category performance
Skills & Experience:
• Trade qualification or extensive experience in the aftermarket automotive industry
• Sound understanding of automotive lighting systems.
• The ability to think like a customer and translate that into effective product strategies.
• Driven and highly organised mindset with an excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Basic to intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Excel
