Sales Manager (Workers Compensation)

Our Human Capital practice focuses on the provision of Consulting and Advisory services to our portfolio of valued corporate clients within Workplace Risk (including WHS), Talent, Health & Benefits and Wealth specialisations.

Our Workplace Risk service offering continues to evolve as the Workers’ Compensation landscape changes and our client’s seek greater innovation in people risk.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Aon offices.

What the day will look like

We are looking for a talented Workers’ Compensation professional to continue to grow our Workplace Risk portfolio by working with our existing clients, internal stakeholders and engaging with new clients. Based in Melbourne Victoria, you will have a genuine impact in this Sales Manager position by delivering outstanding results and growing our existing relationships.

With an established background in growth, sales and Workers’ Compensation you will bring your wealth of experience and drive to this role. You will be responsible for:

 •  Developing and executing a market leading growth plan
 •  Identifying solutions for our clients to reduce their risk exposure through targeted intervention strategies
 •  Acting as Executive Steward on a small number of ‘house’ accounts and setting the strategic direction for sustainable performance improvement
 •  Developing and maintaining a growth pipeline and looking strategically at opportunities for the cross-sell of products, services and risk solutions to both existing and potential clients
 •  Engaging with potential clients through networking, referrals, pro-active marketing, presentations, cold-calling and any other methods
 •  Active engagement with the Aon colleague network, to identify and foster new prospect opportunities

Skills and experience that will lead to success

A creative, solutions-focussed thinker, you are hungry, proactive and ready to take ownership in this key role. To be successful in this role you will have proven leadership experience and success in business development or sales management, focused specifically on engaging with senior workplace risk executives in corporate businesses.

Other experience required:

 •  A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a strong technical understanding of the national Workers’ Compensation landscape
 •  Having a base line knowledge around work, health & safety and self-insurance, is desirable
 •  A high degree of resilience and an outcome focused approach
 •  Highly self-motivated with an ability to ‘think outside of the box’
 •  Proven experience presenting and influencing to a broad audience
 •  A keen entrepreneurial spirit, with demonstrated success in leading a growth strategy
 •  A strong network in the Workers’ Compensation insurance market
