About Our Client
Our client is a leading non-for-profit organisation in the aged care sector.
Job Description
• Supporting all the Financial Reporting activities for the Residential, Independent Living and the Home Care business segments as required
• Assist with month end and year end processes ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial data
• Attend to the preparation and or review of balance sheets reconciliations by identifying issues or discrepancies and liaising with the relevant department to clarify them and implement the applicable adjustments
• Assist with the annual external audit processes and work programs
• Assist with the execution of Internal Audit Projects
• Assist with the renewal of Insurance policies
• Preparation of annual Financial Statements for all the entities in the Group
• Preparation and lodgement of relevant financial reporting Information with the relevant Regulatory Bodies such as the Department of Health
• Development and implementation of internal controls and process improvements
• Provide financial analysis, information and support the business units and finance team as requested
• Produce ad-hoc reports and other analysis and special projects as requested and appropriate
• Assist in the development of junior team members
• Stay abreast with current changes in Accounting Standards
The Successful Applicant
• CPA / CA qualified
• Aged Care industry experience desirable
• Technology One experience desirable
• Statutory reporting experience essential
• 5+ years experience in a financial accounting position
• Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
