Head of National Key Accounts

We’re looking for a Head of Key Accounts to join our National Sales team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based at our South Melbourne office and reporting to our Group General Manager - Sales, this is an absolutely pivotal role which will give the successful applicant an outstanding opportunity to shape and drive the ongoing sales strategy of our business, while providing a unique chance to gain exceptional experience for your own career development and growth.

Leading our Key Account Team, this role will be responsible for building and executing sales strategies and account management plans which will drive profitable volume growth in all of our portfolios of products, within all of our segments (commercial, builders, trade and retail).
Aligning with senior leaders within merchant partners, the Head of Key Accounts will drive our national sales teams to deliver a superior level of customer experience.

A key objective will see you completing strategic business planning for both our internal team and external partnerships; reviewing and completing comprehensive and sophisticated trading terms; plus reviewing best practice and how we ‘get things done’ – with a keen eye on ensuring we are always customer centric.

About you

This is key role which forms part of our Senior Leadership Team, and as such and will require you to have the strong, demonstrable experience as follows:

 •  Significant and relevant experience in customer/key account management roles
 •  Passion for product – you’ll need to live and breathe our products and not just be happy to ‘skim the surface’
 •  Outstanding customer/key account management skills with a background in selling, negotiation, developing and managing trading terms, planning and execution, and experience with measuring and monitoring success and what that looks like
 •  Curiosity and the ongoing desire to keep learning
 •  Ability to develop strong relationships with your audience and gain respect, trust and buy-in
 •  Exceptional authentic leadership skills and the ability to engage, motivate and build high performing teams
 •  Outstanding financial and business acumen
 •  Tenacity and resilience – you are motivated by a challenge
 •  Experience with D365/CRM Systems and BI reporting tools
