THE ROLE
You will report to the CFO and will also work closely with key Finance & Support team members.
You'll be based in our Head Office, in Melbourne CBD, right at the heart of our company. There will be times you’ll need to be in the office yet there is flexibility to work from home.
This is a new role for our business, and we see it as essential to insert proactive controls to ensure accuracy in accounting records and timely management reporting.
Key focused areas:
• Hands on busy senior finance position in a Tech scaleup environment
• Accurate and timely production of month end and performance monitoring with the CFO
• Ensure that day to day accounting is in good order
• Responsible for global Audit (BDO), taxation and GST requirements
• Day to day management of all financial transactions to ensure a high standard of accounting is maintained
• Manage the finance staff & external advisors
• Manage the revenue recognition of the business including overseeing the outsourced billing procedures
• Manage AR, AP, bookkeeping and payroll processes (Outsourced services)
• Full Balance Sheet ownership
• Ensuring all statutory reporting and regulations are met within all regions
• Working with CFO to maintain cashflow management
• Working with the team on Systems implementation projects
Requirements
Skills and experience you will ideally have:
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Must have a professional qualification such as CA/CPA/Other equivalent
• Strong technical accounting skills (AASB/IFRS)
• Significant analytical skillset, including the utilisation of systems
• Able to solve complex finance problems
• Able to carry responsibility independently
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships
• High level of commercial acumen and communication skills is essential
• Strong Xero experience
