What you'll do:
As a Junior User Interface Designer, you will be an integral part of our client's software team. Your primary responsibility will be to optimise the interaction between their software systems and end users. You will collaborate closely with the Principal Product Designer, developing wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes.
Your keen eye for design will contribute to the growth of their design system, while your analytical mindset will help you understand user needs through research and testing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to stay abreast of industry trends while working on cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.
• Work closely with the Principal Product Designer to develop wireframes and user flows
• Develop high-fidelity prototypes for internal and external review
• Synthesise feedback to inform revisions and improved design
• Collaborate with UI Developers to create intuitive, user-friendly software
• Contribute to the growth of our design system including style guide, UI components, assets and design tokens
• Develop visual design and layout best practices
• Conduct user research and testing to understand user needs and pain points
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor products
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Junior User Interface Designer role brings a strong academic background in Design, Computer Science or Engineering. Have an impressive portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design process for various software products, apps and web platforms.
Have familiarity with interaction design and information architecture is complemented by her proficiency in using design software like Adobe XD, Illustrator or Photoshop. Have a good understanding of HTML/CSS and possesses an analytical mindset that aids problem-solving aptitude.
Above all, you are a excellent communicator who can effectively articulate design concepts and ideas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
