The role
We are looking for a Scientist who has an agricultural or biological sciences background. This is a temporary full-time position until June 2025, with the possibility of extension. The role will be based in Brisbane CBD.
You'll focus on plant biosecurity, monitoring pests and diseases. Your job involves:
• Reviewing scientific literature and writing reports
• Collate information and contribute advice to support policy and strategic decision-making and provide scientifically supported guidance to external stakeholders.
• Collaborating with other scientists to solve problems and develop new solutions.
• Liaising with stakeholders to manage biosecurity risks.
• Presenting research at conferences.
The Candidate
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in agricultural or biological sciences.
• A valid driver's license for travel.
• For international degrees, they'll need to be assessed for compatibility with Australian standards.
