Being a registered NDIS provider with a diverse service offering, estara operates across 6 offices in South Australia. As an organisation, estara is working together to support and advocate for people living with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities to enable them to lead fulfilling lives and meaningfully contribute to the community.

We are seeking an experienced Chief People Officer where you will be offered an exciting opportunity to lead, direct, and oversee the strategic direction and performance of the People & Culture team, contributing significantly to the achievement of estara’s strategic goals and objectives.
The successful appointment will be instrumental in driving cultural change aligned with strategic priorities, enhancing workforce performance, and nurturing talent within the organisation. This role requires a strong leader who can provide expert advice on people and culture matters, shape organisational culture consistent with estara’s vision, while fostering effective governance within the team.

Key responsibilities:

 •  Coach, mentor and lead the multi-function People & Culture team.
 •  Provide invaluable strategic advice to the CEO and Board on all matters relating to People & Culture.
 •  Lead the development and implementation of strategy including various People & Culture frameworks and initiatives for growing leadership capability, talent planning and development.
 •  Oversee the implementation of high-quality people programs and complex, integrated change initiatives to improve performance of operational services.
 •  Collaborate to deliver effective governance within the People & Culture team and across the organisation.
 •  Drive a strong risk culture throughout the team in line with the organisation’s broader risk management framework.
 •  Develop and manage strategic relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders by building and fostering meaningful relationships.

Key requirements:

 •  Tertiary qualifications in HR, Psychology, or management.
 •  Proven experience within a Chief People or People and Culture Executive role.
 •  Proven experience leading a multi-function People & Culture team/s.
 •  Ability to delegate effectively to empower and develop your team.
 •  Highly developed interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
 •  Ability to work effectively in an autonomous role.
 •  Ability to respond empathetically in challenging circumstances.
