We're looking for a passionate Head Chef / Exec Chef to oversee our winery food operations approximately 2 hours from Melbourne.
Multiple food offerings including restaurant, functions, retail and off-site catering.
Predominantly days (Wed - Sun) with the occasional night-time function.
You will lead a team of 5-6.
PHILLIP ISLAND WINERY requires a Head Chef to lead the team.
Are you passionate about local Gippsland produce?
Maybe keen for a sea-change, or sick of working nights?
With a 240-seat restaurant, plus outdoor dining spaces, functions, retail and off-site catering, Phillip Island Winery is gearing up for continued growth and is developing its team accordingly.
Currently catering for approximately 1000 covers per week, over 35 weddings per year and further corporate events, Phillip Island Winery offers a European-inspired menu featuring local produce, grazing boards, pizzas and a tight selection of mains.
Ideally the successful applicant will:
• Be passionate about good quality produce. Ideally you'll be excited about developing relationships with local farmers, fishermen, and artisan producers.
• Have experience in a high volume environment.
• Have experience with managing KPIs.
• Have experience managing teams and mentoring staff.
• Be self-motivated and organised.
• Be level-headed and calm under pressure.
• Be keen to think outside the box on events, menus and dish creation.
• Want to make a mark, and be motivated to put your stamp on a venue.

• A predictable roster which is predominantly days
• An excellent, established team
This role may grow into an Executive Chef role across additional offerings, both on-site and off-site. However for now please note, this is a HANDS-ON role 3-4 days per week with 1-2 administrative days (5 days total).
