Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Payroll Officer to join their team in Brisbane CBD. This role is initially a 6 month temporary opportunity and has strong likelihood of progressing longer term.

This role offers the opportunity to utilise your payroll expertise within a supportive and inclusive environment. As a Payroll Officer, you will play an integral part in ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. You will be responsible for providing essential employee maintenance information, checking payroll processing reports, and liaising with other operating companies regarding employee transfers.

The Role:

Your role will also involve checking payroll processing reports, liaising with other operating companies regarding employee transfers, and reviewing payroll for completeness and accuracy. You will also be tasked with providing redundancy quotes when requested and performing month-end report running and distribution.

This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent problem-solving abilities, and can deliver high-quality customer service.

  • Check Payroll Processing reports
  • Review Payroll for completeness and accuracy ensuring
  • Answer staff payroll queries in a timely manner
  • Perform month end report running & distribution

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for the Payroll Officer position brings a wealth of experience in payroll, including the interpretation of awards and EBA’s. You have had exposure to Oracle HRIS or a similar computerised pay system, demonstrating your ability to adapt to different software platforms.

You possess strong numeric aptitude and data entry skills, coupled with excellent analysis and problem-solving abilities.

  • Minimum of 2 years payroll experience including interpretation of awards and EBA’s in a diverse environment
  • Exposure to Tier One payroll systems with strong Excel skills
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
