We are on the lookout for a Data Analyst to join our Analytics & Insights team. This role plays a pivotal part in providing valuable insights, reporting, and strategic analysis to support business decisions. By leveraging data, you will help identify trends, measure performance against business objectives, and support various teams with data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

What you will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a similar analytical role.
  • Have demonstrated advanced level of SQL programming.
  • Experience with data wrangling languages - R or Python.
  • Able to take initiative, be proactive and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and exhibit excellent consulting and internal customer service skills.
  • High level of numeracy.

The below is great, but not critical:

  • Experience reporting/building using Shiny/Markdown.
  • Experience deploying/managing reports on RStudio Connect.
  • A passion for sports and/or racing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply advanced SQL coding to extract data from the snowflake database.
  • Develop and deliver reports to meet stakeholders needs using Shiny or Markdown.
  • Mentor junior analysts, contribute to the development of the analytics team's skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in the development/implementation of data governance and standards.
  • Analyse information using statistical/data analysis techniques to provide key insights.
  • Present analysis/business performance results to leadership and operational teams.
  • Proactively diagnose areas where the overall business is exceeding or fails to hit targets and suggests action is taken to adjust trends.
