We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team based in North Sydney on a permanent, full-time basis.

About the role

Reporting through to our Senior Finance Manager, you will assist the finance team with carrying out financial accounting functions for the group.

As a Financial Accountant, you will be:

  • Assisting the finance team to ensure the highest quality and timely financial reporting.
  • Ensuring all financial activity is undertaken accurately, and all financial assets are protected to ensure appropriate investment for growth in customer initiatives and all governance activity is undertaken to a high standard.
  • Assisting in preparing financial governance packs as required for annual/bi-annual reporting purposes and take a leading role in the completion of annual audit activity.
  • Preparation of standing and ad-hoc journal entries and processing in the ERP, in support of the preparation of month end results.

About you

Along with a formal accounting/finance qualification and CA qualification, if you can tick the box on the details below, then we want to hear from you:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in financial accounting roles
  • Strong financial accounting skills, and good understanding of IFRS rules
  • Medium to advanced excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP (D365 a plus)
  • Have the ability to thrive in a fast paced, changeable environment.
  • Have a high level of curiosity, and the drive to take ownership of an issue and see it from many facets.
  • Manufacturing or FMCG company, and ASX listed experience is a plus
