ICT Business Analyst
The Client:
Cybersec Geeks is a professional IT solutions company based in Manor Lakes that specialises in a variety of operating systems, networks, and databases. They work with just about any technology that a small business would encounter. They now seek an experienced ICT Business Analyst to join their team.
The Role:
The position for hire is an ICT Business Analyst and will be for a full time basis at $75,500 - $80,000 per annum, and will be based at their Manor Lakes office.- The Responsibilities:
Identify the business need, formulate solution approaches, delineate solution scope, and construct business cases for departments
Apply technical acumen and business analysis concepts to ascertain, assess, and articulate systems scope and objectives.
Utilize various business analysis techniques, such as brainstorming, focus groups, and gap analysis, to capture and elicit requirements aligned with the business needs
Plan, administer, and execute software testing, encompassing system and user acceptance testing to ensure compliance with agreed functional and system requirements
Prepare 'Business Requirement' and detailed 'Functional Specification' or Solution documents, delineating relevant business and functional requirements with precision to facilitate accurate delivery of end solutions.
Conduct 'walk-throughs' of Business Requirements and detailed Functional Specifications with clients and relevant business resources, ensuring organizational comprehension.
Identify and analyse existing systems, reviewing for efficiencies to integrate newly captured requirements.
Investigate and analyse business processes, procedures, and work practices, evaluating inefficiencies and proposing optimal business practices, system functionality, and behaviour.
Recommend applications, software, and digital platforms for automation, addressing business process gaps within clients’ enterprise architecture.
Develop stakeholder communication plans and ensure ongoing engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Create user and training documentation, conduct formal training classes onsite at clients’ premises, and maintain and update business process documents regularly.
Support organisational change initiatives by contributing to change impact assessments and transition planning. Develop, communicate, and manage relevant project plans, ensuring identification, assignment of responsibility, and delivery date for all required tasks.
The Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
At least 2 years experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the ICT sector.
At least 2 years familiarity with ICT systems, technologies, and processes.
At least 2 years experience in gathering and documenting business requirements.
At least 2 years experience in creating detailed business requirements documents, functional specifications, and other relevant documentation.
