About the Role

Multotec Australia is part of a global group of companies that designs, manufactures, and services mineral processing and beneficiation equipment for the Australian minerals, aggregate, and mining market. The head office is in Brisbane, and Service and Sales branches are located in mining areas nationwide.

This role is Berrinba-based. Responsible for design work covering all Multotec products (Process Equipment, Mill Linings, Screening and all other products).

The main tasks include:

• Responsible for preparing design drawings – concept to construction drawings, design validation verification.
• Apply your understanding of the applicable standards, engineering design, and specifications process in product design.
• Embrace safety in design as the guiding principle in all work.
• Ensure the design fits the purpose, considering the cost ease of manufacture and operator ergonomics aesthetics.
• Continuous improvement in product development. Understand reported problems and provide suitable solutions through design changes to avoid recurrence.
• Contribute to developing the skills and capabilities of the technical team.
• Understand project deliverables and work towards timely completion of design drawings in a team environment.
• Train up utilising simulation DEM, FEA, and 3D scanning to review and develop improved products and solutions.
• Actively undertake Continuing Professional Development.

• Bachelor of Product Design Engineering or related field
• Relevant CAD qualifications
• Should be willing to undergo training and undertake self-study in FEA, 3D simulations scanning software.

• Minimum of 5 years design drafting experience in similar or related fields;
• Proven record working with complex drawing assemblies in a similar environment.
