NEPEAN Power specialises in design and manufacture high quality electrical equipment. Our products can be found throughout the Australian and international mining, construction, and industrial sectors. NEPEAN Power is also level 3 Service Providers (ASP3) for designing distribution works in NSW
We are currently offering a fantastic opportunity for an Electronics Engineer in our Thornton NSW Office.
Purpose of this position: Assist in the day-to-day operation of Electronics production, sales and repairs for Nepean Power Electronics.
Knowledge of the Nepean product range and assisting in the production, testing, maintenance and support of these products. Liaise with customers, Nepean Power workshop and external suppliers giving product support.Issuing and receiving purchase and sales orders. Understand the concepts and requirements of intrinsic safety and manage documentation to support its application.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
WHS: To work in a safe manner using and developing appropriate SWMS, Risk Assessments or Safety Operating
Procedures as required.To notify supervisor or safety committee delegate immediately of any hazards in the workplace and to monitor or implement any actions taken to correct hazards to ensure that the hazard is removed from the workplace.
Take all reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself, others and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistance and support to the Electronics Manager: Organize procure of required raw materials/stock for product build.
Raising purchase orders, receiving goods and processing sales ordersAssembly, manufacture and testing of Nepean Power products
Testing product firmware
Supervision of technicians and manage production scheduling to achieve the above
Customer equipment inspection, repairs and testing
Conduct and manage documentation to ensure compliance with NP standards, procedures and policies.
Workshop and site support
Assist in research and development as required.
On the job training will be provided as well as any formal internal or external training deemed necessary

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCETAFE Cert III in Electronics, Electrical or similar field, Graduate Electrical/ Electronics Engineer
Skills, knowledge & abilities: Understanding of fundamental electrical and electronic theories.
Practical experience with electronic and mechanical design and assemblyExcellent communication skills
Experience preferred but not required.
Excellent documentation ability
Some experience with programming is desirable but not a requirement
Leadership Competencies (if supervising others): Drive Electronics Production
Self-motivatedTraining and coaching technicians, apprentices and trainees

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum + Super
