As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Ideagen, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our SaaS solutions within the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and collaborating closely with the sales and marketing teams to expand our market presence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research potential customers in the ANZ region, implementing strategies to generate leads through various channels (social media, email campaigns, networking events, webinars).
- Lead Qualification: Assess and qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure alignment with Ideagen's target market.
- Customer Outreach: Initiate contact with potential customers via phone, email, and social media, building relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Sales Process Support: Collaborate with the sales team to transition qualified leads, track interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce), and assist in preparing sales presentations and product demos.
- Market Research & Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, providing feedback to refine sales and marketing strategies.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work with marketing to align lead generation with campaigns and coordinate with customer success to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Needs Analysis & Solutions: Conduct customer needs assessments and present tailored solutions to address pain points effectively.
- Continuous Learning & Improvement: Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge of products and sales techniques.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience & Industry Knowledge: 2+ years in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the SaaS industry, with knowledge of the ANZ market and business culture.
- Sales Performance: Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, with a strong results-oriented mindset.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Research & Analytical Abilities: Strong ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform sales strategies.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools, along with familiarity with SaaS solutions in compliance, risk management, or quality assurance.
- Regulatory & Regional Expertise: Understanding of the regulatory landscape in the ANZ region, with multilingual abilities as a plus.
- Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving: Ability to think strategically, solve problems efficiently, and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Organization & Collaboration: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
