Job Description: Grade 3 Senior Social Worker - TraumaRoyal Melbourne Hospital
Provide expert clinical skills, leadership and knowledge to the Trauma unit, including crisis intervention and risk assessment relating to Family Violence, vulnerable children and vulnerable adults.Career progression opportunities across the organisation, supported and developed through our supervision program.
This is an ongoing role at 0.8 FTE (4 days per week).
Your New Role:
Provide exemplary social work service and leadership in the Trauma Unit, including assessment, intervention, and discharge planning.Foster positive team and workplace culture as a Senior Social Worker and Lead in the multidisciplinary Trauma team.
Utilise specialised skills and knowledge in relation to relevant hospital and community providers, communicating between patients and caregivers.
Demonstrate excellent communication strategies with patients, relatives, staff and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services, information and leadership.
Actively lead and participate in Allied Health & Trauma quality improvement initiatives and research.
About You:
You are a qualified Social Worker, eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.You have demonstrated hospital experience with a collaborative leadership style.
You have excellent communication skills and a passion for continued professional development for yourself and others.
You value working with supportive and dedicated health professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
