Cook/Chef
Regents Garden Group Pty Ltd, a well-established aged care provider, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook / Chef to join our team. About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing and serving meals tailored to the dietary needs of aged care residents, ensuring that every dish supports their nutrition, preferences, and dignity. The role is based in a well-equipped kitchen alongside a collaborative and caring team.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals for aged care residents, including specialised dietary and texture-modified meals
Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and food storage
Assist with menu planning that reflects resident preferences and seasonal ingredients
Manage stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory
Work cooperatively with kitchen and care staff to support positive dining experiences
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum of 12 months full-time experience as a cook or chef in a commercial or aged care kitchen
Sound understanding of food safety practices and nutrition for older adults
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and time management
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is desirable but not essential
This is a full-time position with an annual salary ranging from $76,000 to $80,000, depending on the candidate's experience
