Job Title: Exercise Physiologist - Cairns
Practice Information:This is a locally owned and run practice. They place an emphasis on going the extra mile for their clients so they get the best outcomes. The practice operate out of a private practice in Parramatta Park with consultation rooms and a full gym set up for on-site exercise delivery and group sessions.
They also deliver outreach services in Mossman and Jullaten.
Position Description:Tasks & Responsibilities :
Conduct high quality assessments, prescribe appropriate exercise programs and deliver programs to meet clients needs/ goalsProvide tailored lifestyle modification advice as appropriate
Deliver group exercise programs
Ensure integrated service delivery, communicating where necessary to achieve client outcomes
Collaborate with team members to develop, improve and implement programs

Qualifications & Experience:
The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent qualification) as an accredited exercise physiologist. With membership and accreditation through Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).Demonstrated ability to comply with the profession’s code of ethics and function in accordance with legislation affecting exercise physiology practice for maintenance of accreditation with ESSA.
Experience in providing assessment, intervention and case management to individuals with chronic disease.
Practical Requirements:
Current C class Drivers Licence (QLD)Current First aid and CPR
Current Blue card or willingness to apply for one: yellow card exemption or willingness to apply
Satisfactory Police checkInfluenza Vaccination or willingness to get one
Completion of NDIS Worker orientation Module or willingness to complete
