Creative Director (Advertising)
The Client
Topham Guerin is an advertising agency company founded in New Zealand in 2016 by Sean Topham and Ben Guerin. The company is headquartered in Auckland and has offices in London and Sydney. They now seek an experienced and skilled Creative Director (Advertising) to join their team in Sydney.
The Role
This is a full time role with an annual salary between $150,000 to $200,000, depending on experience plus superannuation.
Your duties will include
Crafting and overseeing innovative advertising strategies and campaigns that align with business goals and drive sales growth.
Manage existing client accounts and onboard new client accounts and build strong relationships with clients.
Overseeing the creation of political advertising content, including graphic design, copywriting, media scripting, and video production, to ensure high-quality and compelling messaging that aligns with campaign goals.
Managing media placement strategies for political campaigns, coordinating ad distribution across various platforms while ensuring adherence to budget constraints and strict deadlines
Work to anticipate upcoming needs and hurdles and be proactive with your clients.
Providing strategic guidance to political campaign executives and clients on advertising approaches to engage target voters, enhance public awareness, and effectively communicate key messages and policy positions
Actively engage in the identification and cultivation of strategic business opportunities within the global political landscape, encompassing the development and delivery of persuasive, results-driven proposals tailored to diverse stakeholders.
Consistently attain and exceed predefined quarterly and annual financial benchmarks through targeted initiative execution and performance optimization.
Support business development through the preparation and execution of advertising targets, strategies, and projects.
Act as the primary point of contact for complex issues in political projects, ensuring effective resolution.
Schedule, attend and lead client meetings.
Work closely with clients to deliver their creative and digital vision.
Help establish Account Management procedures, presenting ideas to the rest of the team.
Develop and execute multi-channel media plans, including Google Ads and Facebook Business Manager
Liaise with other departments including creative, strategy, and technology and advertising specialists to support the delivery of client projects.
Secure client approval before progressing work with wider TG teams.
Analyze and report on project results and campaigns.
Collaborate with various departments to prepare and present detailed performance reports on political campaigns.
Monitor and manage the financial aspects of political projects, ensuring profitability and efficient resource allocation.
Understand and support the implementation of ways of improving agency performance.
Stay on top of your projects and manage regular campaign and client status updates.
Manage your workload across multiple accounts and deadlines.
Support the ongoing streamlining of processes across the Accounts team.
Lead and participate in both internal team and client brainstorms
Engaged in the conceptual development and strategic ideation of innovative frameworks and methodologies to drive the initiation and evolution of diverse project undertakings.
Stay up to date with the marketing landscape, advertising strategy and trends in design/technology and share your opinions with the wider team.
Proactively pursue new business opportunities in the political sphere globally, including crafting and presenting compelling proposals for clients.
Regularly share insights and learnings with the agency team, fostering a culture of continuous growth and knowledge-sharing.
Requirements
At least 3 years’ experience working in account management at an advertising or media agency.
At least 3 years’ experience managing digital advertising campaigns.
At least 3 years’ experience using analytics tools; Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager
At least 3 years experience working in account management at an advertising or media agency.
At least 3 years experience managing digital advertising campaigns.
At least 3 years experience in presenting and selling creative concepts at a senior level
Minimum 3 years experience in creative operations and budget oversight
Minimum of 3 years in directing cross-functional creative teams, including designers, copywriters, and content producers
Strong client handling skills with an understanding of client requirements.
Ability to prepare and deliver presentation for junior to mid-level executives within client organizations.
An understanding of brand campaigns, strategic thinking, commercial advertising, and digital advertising platform.
Experience in project planning.
Proven experience overseeing multiple projects across multiple clients.
Project management skills and experience working on project management systems.
Experience working on a team of account specialists, working alongside creatives.
Enthusiasm and professionalism.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite to produce client documents.
Excellent written and oral communication and listening skills.
Keen eye for detail.
An entrepreneurial, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
