Our client is a world-leading manufacturer and direct seller of in-demand laboratory tools and consumables into the life sciences markets. Their portfolio includes a wide variety of liquid handling devices, next-generation sequencing, and cell culture media preparation equipment and consumables, and they are constantly innovating to bring their customers the latest technologies to add value to their research and work in academic, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, quality control, and diagnostic laboratories, as well as the food and forensics industries.

The Opportunity

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly motivated salesperson with experience selling to customers in the life sciences markets, to continue growing business revenue and servicing customers within the NSW territory. Working as a direct sales agent for our client, you will:

  • Develop and grow relationships with new and existing customers by meeting with them to give sales presentations, product demonstrations, and training on equipment and new product lines.
  • Track contacts, interactions, leads and opportunities for business development and generate quotes for customers using Salesforce.
  • Close new product sales through creating and developing new customer prospect accounts and leveraging existing relationships within the life sciences markets.
  • Attend industry related trade shows, symposiums, and arrange local lunch and learns, morning teas and tabletop shows within and outside your territory.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain a weekly calendar using Microsoft Teams. The Requirements
  • At least three years or more of experience in selling to customers in the life sciences markets
  • A scientific qualification or equivalent experience selling into target markets with a strong understanding of scientific nomenclature, research, and techniques commonly used by customers - especially liquid handling and ideally NGS, cell culture, and microbiology applications
  • The ability to work at a high level both individually and as part of a national sales team
  • A confident, self-motivated personality with an eagerness to sell quality products to customers
  • The ability to transport and physically move equipment and consumables for sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, lasting, and successful professional relations within the life sciences research environment The Offer
The successful candidate will join our client’s national team and continue to supply local customers with innovative equipment and consumables. The total remuneration package is lucrative and includes uncapped commission from the first dollar in sales.
