About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep/Platter Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling platters, and maintaining high standards of food presentation and hygiene. You will work closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
On average, this position will work 15-25 hours per week. A standard working day may be up to 12 hours between 7:00am – 12:00am, across any of the seven days in the calendar week, including weekends and public holidays. Shifts commence and finish at Stokes Hill Wharf in Darwin City.
Requirements
About You- Previous experience in food preparation or cold kitchen work.
- Food Handling Safety Certificate (essential, or willing to obtain).
- Commercial Cookery Certificate (preferred).
- Provide First Aid & CPR (preferred).
- Knowledge of industry best practices.
- Consistently produce high-quality food.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Entitlement to work in Australia with no restrictions.
- Must not be affected by sea sickness.
