Restaurant Manager

Acai Hub Pty Ltd, based at Mission Beach, QLD offers healthy sweet options for you. We serve vegan, gluten free and healthy yoghurt tubs, bubble teas, coffee, ice cream etc. Currently, we have a vacancy for a chef to join our team.

Requirements: Qualification - Bachelor's degree in a related field

Experience - At least 2-year work experience in a similar capacity

• Collaborating with chefs to design menus and select dishes.
• Coordinating and overseeing the planning of special events.
• Managing the procurement and pricing of supplies, aligned with budgetary guidelines.
• Keeping accurate records of inventory levels and financial activities.
• Ensuring dining areas meet health and safety standards, are well-maintained, and provide an inviting atmosphere.
• Engaging with customers to gauge satisfaction with food and service.
• Recruiting, training, and supervising waitstaff and kitchen personnel.
• Assisting with reservations, welcoming guests, and supporting order-taking as needed.
• Rectify any problems or complaints that may arise.
• Ensure waste is minimised.
• Ensure the restaurant is kept clean and organised at all times.
• Pay careful attention to operating budgets.
• Be professionally attired at all times.
• Keep accurate and proper records of all purchases.
• To be totally accountable for day to day running of the entire restaurant.
• To ensure quality control measures are adhered to by all food handling staff.
• To ensure operational areas are properly prepared for all functions.
• To have “A plan” for all function and kitchen activity.
• Communicating with function coordinators re menus, dietaries, special requirements and other client needs.
• Ensure HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) procedures are carried out.
• Ensure Security is adhered to.
• Ensure all menus are costed accurately to advise function coordinator if not profitable.
• Any other duties as requested by Managing Director.
