About the role

As our Business Development Manager – Commercial (Care), you will spearhead sales and specification strategies across the architectural and aged care community, with key engagement in the builder, developer, and plumbing sectors. You'll be driving strategic growth, through the Health and Aged Care sectors, delivering innovative bathroom solutions—not just products.

This role is about relationship-building, influencing, and driving real commercial outcomes, as you represent GWA’s trusted brands to major projects and decision-makers.

What you will be doing:

  • Identifying new business opportunities and developing sales strategies for growth.
  • Building strong relationships with Architects, Aged Care Providers, Builders, Developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Managing the entire commercial sales cycle—from specification through to delivery.
  • Driving pipeline and project integration by working cross-functionally with internal teams.
  • Meeting revenue and margin targets, ensuring sustainability and profitability.
  • Staying on top of market trends, competitor insights, and customer needs.

About you

This is a key role, and we will need you to have a minimum 10 years’ Sales experience, preferably across multiple market segments. You’ll also need:

At least 5 years' experience in the A&D (Architect & Design) commercial market.
  • Proven success managing senior accounts and navigating the specification process.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across multiple stakeholder levels.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and commercial acumen.
  • Proficient in using CRM platforms.
  • An innovative approach to selling complete solutions, not just individual products.
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Architecture, or Design, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge of care solutions and Australian compliance standards
