Position Overview

The Business Development Manager at Ethnolink will support the growth and expansion of our multicultural communication services. This role focuses on identifying and cultivating new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, strategic networking, and sales initiatives.

The employee will play a crucial role in identifying and nurturing potential clients, supporting the wider sales team, and contributing to the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the company’s market presence and drive revenue growth.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging markets and industry trends to support the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders to foster ongoing business opportunities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development processes.
  • Support the development of strategic partnerships and alliances.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential leads and monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
  • Define and prioritise target markets to align business development efforts with organisational goals and resources.
  • Identify and attend relevant events and networking opportunities to generate high-quality leads.
  • Collaborate with the sales team in preparing and delivering impactful presentations to potential clients.
  • Maintain an up-to-date CRM system with client interactions and sales activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective sales campaigns.
  • Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials, proposals, and client-focused documentation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development processes.
  • Weekly, Monthly, Annual and other reporting as requested by the business.
  • Any other project or task requested by your manager or the business.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience of the translation and or multicultural communications industry.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales or marketing, business development, or a similar role.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify potential leads and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to attend events and travel as needed.
  • A proactive and results-driven mindset.
  • An understanding of multicultural communications and translation services.
  • Ideally, the ability to speak a language other than English.
  • Ideally, the ability to translate from at least one language into another.
  • Alignment with Ethnolink’s core values.

Salary: AUD 84,000-88,000+Super
