Assistant Accountant | 12 month fixed-term contract

Robert Half are currently partnering with one of the region's leading healthcare providers in the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Starting in early June, this is a fantastic opportunity to progress your financial accounting acumen, as you will play a pivotal role in end of month procedures and the integrity of the general ledger.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Manager, this role will see you working in a friendly and team focused environment where your duties will include:

• Assisting with end of month procedures including balance sheet reconciliations and posting journal entries.
• Active involvement in monthly & quarterly reporting processes
• Assisting in maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger
• Partnering with a variety of internal and external stakeholder regarding finance queries
• Assisting with revenue reconciliations.
• Playing your part with ongoing systems and procedural improvement initiatives

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will have a great knowledge and understanding of accounting functions:

• At least 12 months' experience in a similar role with relevant qualifications, or working towards a finance qualification
• An analytical mindset and to be able to work to tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and possess the ability to build relationships
