About the Role

As a Solar Trades Assistant, your role includes, but not limited to:

• Planning and performing installation of solar PV systems, including electrical wiring, mounting of inverters and panels, testing, installation of main switches and other standard commercial electrical work
• Performing general labour tasks incl. lifting, carrying, and moving equipment
• Assure field works are carried out in compliance with the most recent drawings
• Assist project managers and engineers with updating markups to complete as-built drawings
• Ensure all work is complete to the highest standards, meeting safety and compliance requirements

Key Competencies:

• Confidence to work at heights and perform tasks in various weather conditions
• Ability to read engineering drawings and circuit diagrams
• Punctuality, dependability, and a strong work ethic are essential qualities for success in this role
• Adhering to project approved Safe Work Methodology Statement (SWMS) to carry out onsite work safely
• Understanding of subcontractor responsibility to carry out due diligence

Experience/Qualifications:

• White Card (Compulsory)
• Working at height certificate (Preferred)
• A valid Driver’s Licence
• National Police Clearance
• Must be a permanent Australian resident with rights to work in Australia
• Korean speaker (preferred)
