Task & Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain telecommunication systems including routers, switches, and network hardware.
Install underground network infrastructure, including pits, conduits, and cables to ensure robust and reliable service delivery. Perform the installation of network cables, including hauling cables through ducts and conduits as part of infrastructure expansion projects.
Undertake all related civil works, including excavation, installation of pits, and preparation of ground sites for the smooth installation of telecommunication systems and underground networks. Diagnose and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system efficiency.
Conduct site surveys, evaluate client needs, and assess the performance of telecommunications infrastructure. Provide technical support and training to both internal teams and clients on telecommunication products and services. Ensure that installations and services comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and upgrades. Work closely with engineers and technical teams to design and implement telecommunication solutions tailored to clients' requirements. Coordinating the planning and development of telecommunications network infrastructure for customer access.
Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to manage contracts and ensure compliance with SLAs, performance standards, and project requirements. Delivering continuous operational support by designing, optimizing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and resolving performance issues, defects, and faults in telecommunications networks.
Maintain accurate logs of equipment, parts, inventories, and document policies and quality standards to ensure compliance and traceability. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all network operations, promoting safe work practices and minimizing risks associated with telecommunications infrastructure.
Qualification & Experience 1-2 years of relevant experience in telecommunications, network systems, or a similar technical field. S olid understanding of telecommunications systems, including both hardware and software. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, particularly in relation to network issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team environment. A relevant qualification in telecommunications, electronics, or a related technical field is advantageous.
