Telecommunications Engineer – Melton South, VIC

Role:
Martindale Technologies Pty Ltd is seeking 3 full time Telecommunication Engineers with at least 2+ years of experience that will be a part of a highly functioning team which will allow you to challenge your technical and critical thinking skills as you work directly with our technology customers.This role will allow you to develop a deep understanding of our businesses and how we deploy and operate our critical technologies to support delivering our services. Salary ranging $80,000 - $90,000 p.a. + super for someone with proven experience in the below tasks and responsibilities.
Tasks and Duties:- Maintain, Install, commission, and integrate wired and wireless Telecommunication equipment.
- Install and maintain WCDMA/LTE/4G/5G/ NBN technologies and maintenance for radio networks, CCTV, PAGA, telephony and IP networks.
- Site Audits, configuration and integration activities, including night works as required.
- Experience with complex system integration, design, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Interpretation of design drawings and telecommunications plumbing diagrams.
- Testing, Commissioning and fault finding or wireless Telecommunications systems.
- Attend fault rectification jobs and undertake diagnosis and rectification to meet defined service standards.
- Scheduling and prioritisation of technical resources for planned and unplanned work as well as the roster schedule for the Duty Tech to meet the commitments to internal and external clients.
- Work with other technical service providers, internal and external to FRV, to assist and support communications installations and maintenance.
- Monitor communications technology functionality and identify and recommend to management, opportunities to improve or replace existing infrastructure.
- Undertake routine testing and evaluation of new or adapted products and technologies, under guidance, to assist new product or technology developments or improvements.
- Complete job cards and provide verbal and/or written technical reports as required.
- Client liaison and high level customer service resulting in long term relationships and follow on work.
- Mentorship of technical services team members, striving to develop a high-performance, agile team.
- Working with other staff to ensure a thorough technical response to requirements within requests for information, bids and tenders.
- Bachelors Degree in Communications, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
- Experience in supporting below systems would be advantageous:
- Radio UHF (Tetra), VHF, Microwave
- Radar, AIS, Satellite
- Demonstrated skills in fault diagnosis and service restoration in communications systems and equipment.
- Skills in the development and/or installation and commissioning of communications technologies.
- Current drivers' licence.
- Knowledge and understanding of service standards and requirements.
- Interpersonal skills of a high order, with a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
- Sound written and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines for the delivery of project outputs, reports and other data as appropriate.
- Self-motivated, able to operate under general direction.
- Results orientated (a strong focus on achievement of milestones and outcomes).
- Strong focus on service delivery to customers.
