Ishizuka a renowned high-end Japanese restaurant in the heart of Melbourne, is seeking an exceptional Assistant Restaurant Manager to join their talented team. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant's daily operations and contributing to the delivery of an unparalleled dining experience
What you'll be doing
Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all front-of-house operations, including reservations, seating, and serviceCoordinate and lead the wait staff team, providing training, mentoring, and performance management
Ensure exceptional customer service and handle any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and tact
Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain high standards of food and beverage presentation and quality
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance the restaurant's operations and guest experience
Assist with inventory management, cost control, and other administrative duties as required
What we're looking for
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar assistant restaurant manager or senior front-of-house role within a high-end, fine dining establishmentDemonstrable expertise in leading and motivating a team of hospitality professionals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and build strong relationships
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation
Proficient in inventory management, cost control, and other operational aspects of running a successful restaurant
A passion for the hospitality industry and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations
