Installation and site Supervisor

The Installation Site Supervisor based in QLD is accountable to the our clients Wind Farm Site Manager and the Project Manager for the management of their wind turbine installation and site operations.
Duties:- Manage GWA installation QA documentation where required (e.g. ITP’s, Permit, SWMS etc.)
- Manage installation subcontractors on all work fronts
- Guide and supervise the GWA site team in following Australian HSE working requirements
- Visibly show and ensure compliance with the quality, environment, health, and safety requirements of the projects.
- Support the achievement of project objectives though.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Motivate and align work groups to achieve the project objective.
- Oversee installation interfaces i.e. handover from civil work to handover to Commissioning of the
- Proactively lead the site teams in their performance
- Ensure that tools and equipment are accounted for and ready for use
- Accurately report the status of activities.
- Status on received goods
- Components registration of serial No#
- Software implementation and Version tracking
- Liaise with;
- Project based teams
- Installation and Logistics Contractors
- Project Management
- Client representatives and other contractors
handover to Service.
Brief Description
Qualifications: Specific educational qualifications are required for the position; the following would be a minimum requirement; Qualifications in an electrical or mechanical trade
Tertiary qualifications in a related technical field
Diploma in Project management
Diploma in OHS
Training in the following areas would be an advantage
OEM training in erection of wind turbines
EH&S and quality systems
Lead and Supervise teams
Experience: 10 years of Wind turbine installation experience essentialCapabilities/Competencies: The role requires:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Negotiation skills and ability to relate to diverse stakeholder groups
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly;
- Good knowledge of construction site practices applicable
legislation and site management systems;
