Chef
Award winning local cafe / restaurant located in the heart of Berwick is looking for a Qualified Chef who is passionate about cooking. Suitable candidates must:
Have completed certificate IV in commercial cookery.Have at least 3 years of experience in a fast pace kitchen in prep work and serving modern cafe style food.
Be able to work on both week days and on the weekends.
Got idea about modern food and able to design menu.
Have experience in kitchen and stock management.
Good knowledge of fusion food is desired.
Required job responsibilities are:
Managing overall day to day operation of the kitchenPerforming all preparation work as per the recipe and as shown by the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
Opening and closing the kitchen including kitchen cleaning and maintain industry standards.
Plating and serving food as per the standards of the cafe
Assisting Head Chef in ordering and managing stock level
Contribution to the growth of business and increase kitchen efficiency.
Record keeping as per the local council and industry standards.
Maintain food standards and rotation
Assist the kitchen in any role as needed by the business
Training the kitchen hand and other kitchen staff as needed
Perform any other responsibilities as needed for the business
Work is Wednesday to Sunday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Total weekly hours approximately 38 to 40 hours.
