About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while contributing to the development of high-quality dishes. As a key member of the kitchen, you will work closely with management and kitchen staff to ensure exceptional food quality, hygiene, and efficiency in kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities: Plan menus, estimate food and labor costs, and manage food supply orders.
Oversee the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.Collaborate with managers, dietitians, and staff to discuss food preparation and service-related matters.
Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance on food preparation procedures.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to maintain high culinary standards.
Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold quality and efficiency.
May be required to freeze and preserve food items as per storage guidelines.
Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent).At least one year of relevant experience in a similar role.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for food and presentation.
Ability to manage and oversee kitchen operations efficiently.
Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
