About the Company:Our client, Aysha Holdings Pty Limited t/a Circa Espresso offering relaxed table service, serving authentic food, is looking to fill full time position for Cook. The café takes pride in their ability to deliver quality food and a superior service every time.
The client is looking for an experienced Cook with the passion and ability to drive the kitchen, create amazing food offerings and lead the team.The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day culinary operations, including innovative menu offerings, food safety and hygiene compliance to ensure consistent and quality standards are achieved.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have relevant 1+ years’ work experience and trade qualifications, you must have a genuine interest in the hospitality industry. The successful applicant must comply with all WHS, Food Safety and HACCP requirements.
Minimum Requirements:be qualified in hospitality with AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) with at least 1+ years full-time experience as a Cook.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook dishes following recipes and presentation standards.
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before useUndertake portion control practices, arrange, and garnish food according to the creative ethos of the kitchen
Manage and oversee the kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and consistency
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist in menu planning and development, introducing new and innovative dishes.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for kitchen supplies as needed.
Store food in temperature-controlled facilities
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and maintain a positive and efficient work atmosphere.
Help with stock management including, ordering, rotation, and wastage control
Ensure wastage is kept to a minimum
Skills & Qualities Required: a demonstrated track record in creating innovative menus at the highest level
exceptional shift management capabilitieshigh standard of personal grooming and presentation
sound knowledge of kitchen management including menu planning and costing
good working knowledge of WHS standards
highly organized with the ability to supervise and support the team in kitchen operations
