Role Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Architect/Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures. This position requires proficiency in Cisco Switches, Arista Switches, Data Center Technologies, Palo Alto Firewalls, AWS Cloud Networking, F5 Load Balancers, Cisco Viptela SD-WAN, Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco ACI.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network systems.

Network Design and Architecture:

  • Develop comprehensive network designs that meet business requirements and industry standards.
  • Architect scalable and resilient network solutions for data centers, cloud environments, and enterprise networks.
  • Design and implement Cisco Viptela SD-WAN solutions to optimize WAN performance and connectivity.
  • Leverage Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) for data center automation and policy-based network management.

Implementation and Configuration:

  • Lead the implementation and configuration of network hardware and software, including Cisco Switches, Arista Switches, FortiGate Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, and Cisco ACI.
  • Ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability across all network environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency with routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP, VTP, EtherChannel).
  • Implement, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise-level routing and switching infrastructure.
  • Optimize network performance using advanced protocols and technology solutions.

Cloud Networking:

  • Design and manage network solutions within Azure Cloud and AWS Networking environments.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineers to integrate on-premises and cloud networks seamlessly.
  • Implement hybrid cloud connectivity and ensure secure, high-performance cloud networking.

Overall:

  • Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Provide regular reports on network performance, capacity, and security posture.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.
  • Lead technical discussions and strategy sessions to align network architecture with business goals.

Additional Requirements:

On-call and Shift Expectations: This position is primarily focused on managed services, meaning you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our clients' IT systems (Applications and Infrastructure). Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you may be required to work in shifts to provide continuous support.

Additionally, you may need to be on call to address incidents promptly and perform after-hours deployment activities as needed. Your ability to effectively manage these responsibilities will be crucial to ensuring the seamless operation of our services and client satisfaction.
