About the role:

As a Sales & Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sector managers in providing exceptional service to our customers along with overseeing operational duties of assessing tenders, preparing quotes, stacking, packing, dispatching, stock keeping etc.
You will be responsible for handling and managing day to day operations of the office & warehouse in NSW under the guidance of 2 x Sector Managers. A role with varied responsibilities means constantly switching hats from one task to the next.

You must be a great organiser to meet the continually changing demands of their work environment.

This is an ideal role for existing part sales coordinators, service technicians or warehouse assistants within Water technologies sector, to take the leap into a Sales support role.

Note: Though this position is based in NSW, the candidate would require to be in Melbourne, VIC for 3 - 6 weeks to complete initial induction and training on our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Support
  • Maintain positive relationships with new and existing clients as a part of Sales support for Sector Managers
  • Update and maintain customer records, information and communication updates using our CRM system
  • Convert spec sheets into quotes with the help and advice of Sector Managers using our ERP system
  • Provide support and product information to customers where possible or liaise with Sector Managers for resolution
  • Provide resolutions to customers and liaise with internal teams to problem solve queries and issues raised
  • Promote, upsell and cross sell WAM Group products by keeping customer updated about new and existing products
  • Proactively build product knowledge with training and experience and contribute to the growth of the company.
Warehouse administration
  • Processing and packing customer orders ready to ship
  • Loading delivery vans and checking dispatches for on time delivery
  • Receiving all deliveries and storing appropriately after system entry
-Use pallet-stacker to move supplies or boxes around the warehouse
  • Use hand scanning devices, bar codes, QR code technology or pen & paper for data entry to recording details about inventory and customer orders.
  • Liaise with internal teams to problem solve any queries and issues raised
  • Entering data into computer systems to keep stock inventory up to date
  • Managing stock levels and placing orders for new materials where required
  • Keeping the warehouse area clean, tidy and free from unnecessary hazards to uphold health and safety
Office administration and support
  • Liaising suppliers or clients over the phone, responding to basic queries, placing orders for supplies, and managing basic admin paperwork.
Candidate eligibility requirements
  • Valid & current Australian Working Rights.
  • Min Cert III in Sales, Supply Chain, Warehousing, or related fields mandatory
  • Min 3 years of proven experience sales / warehouse setting.
  • Previous experience as a Parts coordinator or Parts Sales would be highly preferred.
  • Experience in Water technologies highly preferrred
  • Mechanical / Technical qualification preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to understand complex products.
  • Willing to be trained and learn to grow with the role
  • Previous experience to report on sales activities periodically.
  • Liaising suppliers or clients over the phone, responding to basic queries, placing orders for supplies, and managing basic admin paperwork.
  • Previous experience with CRM (Zoho) and ERP (SAP Business One) preferred
-Proactive & self-motivated with the ability to work independently / as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for warehouse errands, attend trade shows as required and may also include periodic visits to Melbourne
