Nextra Margate, has a casual position available for an enthusiastic, customer-service focused sales assistant. We have a team of six, our store trades 7 days a week and work hours can vary between 6:30 am – 7:30 pm so flexibility of availability is necessary.
To be successful in our team you will need a combination of good work ethics and a positive attitude; be self-motivated and able to work independently and most importantly have an ability and willingness to tell our customers about current promotions and offers.
Daily duties of successful applicants may include (but are not limited to):- Engaging, serving and assisting customers both professionally and efficiently
- Talking to customers about current promotions and offers including Lottery Jackpots
- Handling payments including EFTPOS and Cash registers
- Maintaining, replenishing and merchandising of stock and product displays
- Responsible service of lotteries and other soft gambling product
- Assisting with Opening and Closing tasks including OH&S cleaning procedures and register balancing
Retail experience is required. Ideally Applicants need Newsagency/Lottery experience but enthusiastic and confident Applicants with demonstrated retail experience and skills will also be considered.
This is an ongoing position of 15 hours + per week and would not suit school students or those looking for holiday work only.Employees work under the General Retail Industry Award and pay rates are according to the General Retail Industry Award.
