Join DOF as a Materials and Logistics Coordinator
We are looking for another member to join our Warehouse and Logistics Team: a working environment consisting of skilled, positive, innovative, and enthusiastic employees. Based in our Kewdale warehouse, you will be reporting to the Materials and Workshop Manager and working alongside the warehouse team.If you are a team player and are looking for a new role in a supportive, dynamic environment to grow your career, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating the shipment of project equipment, assets and materials to various sites via road, air and sea.
- Receive and inspect incoming goods, including forklift operation, receipting and ensuring compliance with delivery and quality requirements.
- Manage documentation for received items.
- Prepare goods for shipment, including packaging, labelling, and creating shipping documents.
- Coordinate shipments for repairs and vendor returns, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with export control regulations.
- Liaise with freight companies to ensure timely, cost-effective transport; handle freight invoice approvals and support accounts with receipting.
- Support procurement and tendering by maintaining non-conformance reports, providing transport costings/timelines, and reporting imports/exports of controlled items.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Warehouse and Logistics.
- Experience handling and transporting Dangerous Goods
- Forklift ticket
- Warehouse stores, inventory, storage and distribution policies and procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of international documentation, terms, freight & export requirements.
- Stock integrity and stock check procedures.
Experience can compensate for lack of formally proven competence.
