Chef de partie

We are seeking a competent Chef de Partie to join our team. This position will suit someone who is organised, meticulous and committed to cooking quality dishes. This is a full-time position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
- Cook all meals in accordance with food and service standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff and monitor their work and provide guidance in kitchen procedures.
- Ensuring all kitchen staff align with Spago’s vision and image.
- Managing and training any demi chef.
- Menu planning for birthdays and other celebrations and costings.
- Plan seasonal changes in menus
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen environment.
Your Requirements:
A trade qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent qualifications is important. Extensive experience working as a Chef in western cuisine, a sound knowledge of health and safety issues, ability to work as a team member and extensive experience working in a similar role would be highly regarded.Excellent cooking abilities and attention to detail are necessary for the position.
Remuneration:
This is a permanent full-time position and remuneration is dependent on skills, qualifications, and experience. A remuneration of $75,000-$78,000 P.A plus superannuation is considered.
