• Effective kitchen management and communication with a diverse team
• Maintaining current knowledge on food trends and competitors
• Prepare and produce meals for customers with special dietary requirements
• Planning and preparing all kitchen requirements for the delivery of quality and consistent meals
• Managing food costs, budgets, staffing and rostering for the kitchen operations;
• Monitor the quality of the product served, ensuring that high standards are maintained;
• Being able to demonstrate cooking techniques and advising on cooking procedures;
• Ensure appealing plate presentation and assume responsibility for the quality of products served;
• Monitor and manage all WHS and hygiene standards in the kitchen, and resolve or escalate incidents or concerns as necessary;
• Fast with excellent time management during preparation and service periods;
• Provide leadership and supervise junior Chefs and kitchen hands
• Respond to and incorporate feedback regarding meal quality from residents and other key stakeholders

• Qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent preferrable
• Must have experience as a chef, or 2-3 years chef experience working in a Chinese restaurant
• Experience in Chinese cuisine, demonstrate excellent Chinese cooking skills
• Creative, and passionate about food and providing high standards of food service
• Excellent knowledge of kitchen hygiene & food safety standards.

Salary : $80,000 to $85,000 + Super per year
