What you'll do:
As a Senior Procurement and Contracts Management Specialist, your role will be multi-faceted encompassing responsibilities across procurement and contract management. You will be working closely with the Procurement and Contract Management Manager within Program Services to meet demands linked to multiple major projects.Your expertise will be crucial in managing the procurement process end-to-end of goods and services within the relevant legislation and policy requirements. You will also play a pivotal role in supplier management, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes.
Collaborate with senior managers to provide procurement and contract management forecastingManage all stakeholder aspects of procurement and contract management including pre-tender issues, scope changes, tender evaluation, approval and contracting
Negotiate prices, contract terms and conditions, and key performance indicators for goods and services with suppliers
Play a senior role in supplier management, managing contracts and relationships
Resolve contract disputes, chair contract meetings, and write contract correspondence
Lead contract administration activities in all aspects of multiple contracts to ensure construction safety, operational safety and compliance to technical standards are achieved
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Procurement and Contracts Management Specialist role brings specialised experience in procurement and contract management preferably from major infrastructure projects. You possess extensive knowledge of procurement laws and contractual requirements in a commercial setting.With at least 5 years' experience under your belt working on major infrastructure projects, you have honed your people management, interpersonal, planning, coordination, and negotiation skills. Your ability to manage the procurement process from start to finish sets you apart.
Specialised experience in Procurement and Contract Management preferably in major infrastructure projects with a heavy emphasis on consultancy/professional servicesExtensive knowledge of, and experience in, procurement and contracts legislation and other contractual requirements in a commercial environment
Minimum 5 years’ experience working on major infrastructure projects
High level people management, interpersonal, planning, coordination, and negotiation skills
High level of skill in managing the procurement and contract management process end-to-end
