PHP Developer
Our client is seeking a skilled Web Application Developer using PHP to join their team. This role is ideal for a proactive and adaptable professional with extensive experience in web development and system administration. Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- 5+ years of web application development experience using PHP
- Development experience with Moodle LMS in areas such as security, upgrades, authentication, and custom plugin development.
- Experience in CodeIgniter and Laravel.
- Experience working with frontend technologies such as jQuery, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and effective solution implementation.
- Proven ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently on assigned tasks.
- Experience with estimating, setting goals, and prioritizing activities to achieve project outcomes.
- Strong Linux system administration knowledge and skills, particularly in web/database server setup and maintenance.
Desirable:
- Experience with internally used tools and products such as Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Confluence Cloud, GitLab, Jira Cloud, Umbraco CMS, Moodle LMS, Sitefinity CMS, and Drupal CMS.
- Familiarity with the Digital Transformation Agency's Digital Service Standard.
- Understanding of W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, including ASD's Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), ISM, ISO, NIST, and Essential Eight.
- Knowledge of information privacy principles.
- Experience working with public sector agencies and education software companies.
- Experience with technical solution design.
